The Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS) is a new initiative at the University of Ottawa. Its mandate is to nurture and promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning at all levels of the University. The role of the TLSS falls into three broad categories:
  1. Establishing and maintaining the best possible teaching and learning environment on campus;
  2. Promoting innovative approaches to teaching which take the learner and the faculty's needs into consideration and then providing support to those who implement them;
  3. To lead and assist the university community with the integration of new learning technologies into its various programs and courses.

STLHE web site

 

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) is a national association of academics interested in the improvement of teaching and learning in higher education. Its members comprise faculty and teaching and learning resource professionals from institutions of post-secondary education across Canada and beyond. Founded in 1981, the bilingual STLHE is home to the Council of 3M Teaching Fellows and the Educational Developers Caucus.

 

CSPOD CSPOD is a Canadian network for professional and organizational developers from colleges and other educational organizations. Through this network, we collaboratively, creatively and strategically advance leadership in development and training that enhances the learning goals of post secondary educational institutions. CSPOD is a forum for initiating innovation, researching and sharing best practices, developing partnerships, and engaging in authentic dialogue on current and emerging issues and practices in professional and organizational development.
